Apprehension of one Bangladeshi truck driver along with truck and recovery of huge number of cosmetic items from ICP changrabandha
On 09 May 2023 (Tuesday) at about 1100 hrs, acting on a tip-off, alert troops of 151 Battalion BSF under Jalpaiguri Sector in North Bengal Frontier deployed on Indo-Bangladesh border at ICP Changrabandha in Coochbehar district of West Bengal apprehended 01 Bangladeshi truck driver namely Md Sabu (32 yrs), S/o Md Sohider Rahman, R/o Vill-Ufarmara (Burimari), PS-Patgram, Distt-Lalmonirhat (Bangladesh) near ICP Changrabandha along with his truck bearing No.T 24-4286. On thorough checking, a huge number of cosmetic items were recovered which was concealed clandestinely in the cabin of the empty truck which was meant for smuggling from India to Bangladesh. Apprehended Bangladesh truck driver alongwith truck and cosmetic items were handed over to Customs Officials at ICP Changrabandha.
Troops of under command Battalions of North Bengal Frontier BSF deployed on Indo-Bangladesh border are maintaining alertness of highest order on the border to thwart any attempt of antinational elements to execute their nefarious design of smuggling and infiltrations & exfiltration under the dynamic leadership of Shri Ajai Singh, Inspector General of North Bengal Frontier BSF.
