Shri C.P. Saxena, Deputy Inspector General (PSO) formally inaugurated BSF Inter-frontier Kabaddi sports competition in the presence of Shri Raman Kumar Srivastava, Commandant (Training) at Subsidairy Training Centre, Baikunthpur under the dynamic leadership of Shri Ajay Singh, Inspector General, Border Security Force, Subsidairy Training Centre, BSF, Baikunthpur and FTR BSF NB.
As it is well known that after the independence of the country, since 1965, the Border Security Force has been vigilantly monitoring the borders of India, as well as in other areas, the personnel of the force are touching heights and the field of sports is also not untouched by them. Many personnel of the force have been national and international level players and have brought laurels at national and international lavel for the country.
At the opening ceremony, today, on December 05, 2022, the inter-frontier kabaddi sports competition started with the oath parade at the sports ground of Subsidairy Training Center, Baikunthpur. Teams of 11 frontier headquarters of the force participated in competition. In the starting all the players of all the teams took oath to play the games with the spirit of sportsmanship under their respective flags and displayed an excellent parade. Chief guest encouraged all the players in his speech and asked them to perform well.
On this occasion, Shri Raman Kumar Srivastava, Commandant (Training), Subsidairy Training Center, Baikunthpur, Shri Sunil Kumar, Commandant 195 BN, other officers and coaches of all the teams were present. The competition will run from 05 December to 08 December. In which excellent players will be selected for the selection of the team at the central level. In the opening two matches took place, in which the first match was played between Punjab and Mizoram & Cachar Frontier, in which Punjab Frontier was won by 40-25 and the second match was played between the teams of Rajasthan and Meghalaya Frontier, Rajasthan frontier won by 60-55.
