Border Security Force always ready for skill development program of border youth

While discharging their duties and responsibilities with promptness on the India-Bangladesh border, the sentinels of the Border Security Force are always ready to develop the skills of the youths of the border areas.


In this connection, pre-recruitment coaching, computer coaching and training of electricians is being given on the border in Kuchliwadi area by 40 Battalion BSF of Jalpaiguri Sector of North Bengal Frontier under the dynamic leadership of Sh Ajai Singh, Inspector General, North Bengal Frontier. Due to which the youth of the border area are getting effective help in getting employment opportunity and making their life successful. 


For about one and a half years, pre-recruitment coaching is being conducted by the Border Security Force at the border outpost Kuchlibari and BRK Bari under which skilled physical training and preparation for the written examination are provided to the border youths by the qualified BSF personnel. For this work, those children are also given sports dress, shoes and books etc. free of cost by the Border Security Force.


Although initially the border youths were not inclined towards the training program run by BSF. But it is said that "Who says that there cannot be a hole in the sky, friends, at least throw a stone with your heart". On the same lines, to prevent the youth from getting involved in criminal activities at the border and the tireless efforts to bring him on the right path was started by BSF which slowly started showing results. After explaining the benefits of such programs to the villagers in coordination meetings from time to time, the villagers started sending their children to the training programs.


Due to the courageous efforts of the Border Security Force and the hard work of the border youths, so far 11 out of 50 border youths have been successful completed in various competitive examinations. Chandan Roy, Surojit Mandal, Jotish Roy, Pran Kishore and Barun Kumar Roy of village 110 Bajejama, Nayan Sheel, Sapna Roy, Bhupal Roy and Rani Khatoon of village Kuchlibari and Rahul Hussain of village Dhupguri are among those who have achieved success. 


During the border of Shri Ajay Singh, Inspector General, North Bengal Frontier interacted with these children and encouraged them to keep working hard so that they can achieve their goals and lead a successful life as citizens and able to fulfill social responsibilities well.
