Troops of under command Battalions of north Bengal Frontier BSF deployed Indo-Bangladesh border are maintaining alertness of highest order on the border to thwart any attempt of antinational elements to execute their nefarious design of smuggling and infiltrations & exfiltration under the dynamic leadership of Shri Ajai Singh, Inspector General of North Bengal Frontier BSF.
On 25 Feb 2023 (Saturday) at about 1910 hrs, acting on the tip off, troops of BOP Domutha, 174 Bn BSF under Raiganj Sector of North Bengal Frontier deployed on Indo-Bangladesh Border in Utter Dinajpur district of West Bengal seized 02 Gold Biscuits of 116 gram each (Total 232 grams) & Approx value Rs. 12,99,200/- when smugglers trying to cross with a plastic pipe through the IBB fence from Bangladesh to India side. BD smugglers fled away towards BD side by taking advantage of foggy weather, darkness and undulating ground.
In addition to above, on 25 Feb 2023, troops of under command Battalions of North Bengal Frontier BSF carried out anti-smuggling drive in their respective border areas in order to thwart any attempt by ANEs to execute their nefarious design of smuggling and seized 03 Cattles, 150 Kgs Supari from different border area. The total value of seized items is Rs. 13,92,641/-. Above items were seized by BSF troops while smugglers were trying to smuggle these items from India to Bangladesh.
