Troops of under command Battalions of north Bengal Frontier BSF deployed Indo-Bangladesh border are maintaining alertness of highest order on the border to thwart any attempt of antinational elements to execute their nefarious design of smuggling and infiltrations & exfiltration under the dynamic leadership of Shri Ajai Singh, Inspector General of North Bengal Frontier BSF.
On 12 Feb 2023, acting on the tip off, troops of BOP Chakgopal of 137 Battalion BSF under Raiganj Sector of North Bengal Frontier deployed on Indo-Bangladesh Border in Dakshin Dinajpur district of West Bengal apprehended 01 Indian National namely Sabbir Mondal (26 yrs) S/o Rafikul Mondal R/o Vill-Laskarpur, PS-Hili, Distt–Dakshin Dinajpur (West Bengal) while he was carrying clandestinely 50 bottles of Fairdyl in his bike for smuggling from India to Bangladesh. Apprehended Indian National with seized items were handed over to PS Hili.
In addition to above, on 12 and 13 Feb 2023, troops of under command Battalions of North Bengal Frontier BSF carried out anti-smuggling drive in their respective border areas in order to thwart any attempt by ANEs to execute their nefarious design of smuggling and seized 150 bottles of Phensegrip, 50 bottles of Fairdyl and other contraband items from different border area. The total value of seized items is Rs.1,02,007/-. Above items were seized by BSF troops while smugglers were trying to smuggle these items from India to Bangladesh.
