Apprehension of 5 Bangladeshi nationals and one Indian national and seizure of cattle-fairdyl-ganja from border

On 01 Dec 2022, acting on tip off, troops of BOP Pathanpara of 15 Battalion of BSF under Siliguri Sector in North Bengal Frontier deployed on Indo-Bangladesh Border in Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal alongwith Manikganj Police jointly launched a special operation in the general area of village Garteshwari area and apprehended 05 Bangladeshi Nationals namely i) Rubel Khan (20 Yrs) S/O Md Tofijul Haque, ii) Sadek Ali (23 Yrs), S/O Md Jahangir Alam, iii) Saddam Hussain (22 Yrs), S/O Hafijul Haque, iv) Nayem Ali (22 Yrs), S/O Majibur Rahman and v) Md Muktar (22 Yrs), S/O Ismail, while they were trying to cross border illegally. All are resident under PS Haripur of Thakurgaon district of Bangladesh. BD Taka 3300, Indian Currency Rs.1,100/- and 06 Nos of Mobile were recovered from their possession. Apprehended BD Nationals with seized items were handed over to PS Manikganj.   



 In another incident, on 01 Dec 2022, troops of BOP Balupara of 61 Battalion BSF under Raiganj Sector in North Bengal Frontier deployed on Indo-Bangladesh Border in Dakshin Dinajpur district of West Bengal apprehended 01 namely Pabitra Mali (29 Yrs) S/O Pradip Mali R/O Vill– Bolopara, PS–Hili, Distt-Dakshin Dinajpur (West Bengal) alongwith 193 Bottles of Fairdyl and 05 Kg Ganja. Apprehended Indian National with seized items were handed over to PS Hili. 



 In addition to above, from 01 to 02 Dec 2022, troops of under command Battalions of North Bengal Frontier BSF carried out anti-smuggling drive in their respective border areas in order to thwart any attempt by ANEs to execute their nefarious design of smuggling and seized 02 Cattle, 193 Bottles of Fairdyl, 67 Bottles of M K Dyl, 59 Bottles of Phensegrip, 05 Kg Ganja, BD Taka 3300, Indian Currency Rs.1,100/- and other contraband items from different border area. The total value of seized items is Rs.1,14,167/-. Above items were seized by BSF troops while smugglers were trying to smuggle these items from India to Bangladesh.


Troops of under command Battalions of north Bengal Frontier BSF deployed Indo-Bangladesh border are maintaining alertness of highest order on the border to thwart any attempt of antinational elements to execute their nefarious design of smuggling and infiltrations & exfiltration under the dynamic leadership of Shri Ajai Singh, Inspector General of North Bengal Frontier BSF.
