On 15 Nov 2022, acting on the tip off, troops of BOP Haptiagach of 176 Battalion BSF under Siliguri Sector in North Bengal Frontier deployed on Indo-Bangladesh Border in Uttar Dinajpur district of West Bengal apprehended 01 Bangladeshi National namely Md Salim (20 Yrs) S/o Md Asirul, Vill-Darjipara, PS-Titulia, Distt-Panchgarh (Bangladesh) while he was trying to cross border illegally and unknowingly feel down in ahead of fence deep water filled trench. Bangladesh Taka 240 recovered from his possession. Apprehended Bangladeshi National alongwith seized Bangladeshi Taka handed over to PS Chopra. 

 

In another case, on 15 Nov 2022, acting on the tip off, troops of BOP Kumargach of Adhoc NB-IV Battalion of BSF under Kishanganj Sector in North Bengal Frontier deployed on Indo-Bangladesh Border in Uttar Dinajpur district of West Bengal apprehended 01 Indian national namely Rafijuddin (42 Yrs) S/O Hazijamaluddin, Vill-Khata Khuwa Belchori, PS Islampur, Distt-Uttar Dinajpur (West Bengal) alongwith 20 Bottles of Phensedyl while he was trying to smuggle these Phensedyl Bottles from India to Bangladesh. Apprehended Indian National with seized Phensedyl Bottles handed over to PS Islampur.


In addition to above, from 15 & 16 Nov 2022, troops of under command Battalions of North Bengal Frontier BSF carried out anti-smuggling drive in their respective border areas in order to thwart any attempt by ANEs to execute their nefarious design of smuggling and seized 15 Cattle, 20 Bottles of Phensedyl, 42 Bottles of Fairdyl, Bangladeshi Taka 240 and other contraband items from different border areas. The total value of seized items is Rs.2,24,509/-. Above items were seized by BSF troops while smugglers were trying to smuggle these items from India to Bangladesh.


Troops of under command Battalions of north Bengal Frontier BSF deployed Indo-Bangladesh border are maintaining alertness of highest order on the border to thwart any attempt of antinational elements to execute their nefarious design of smuggling and infiltrations & exfiltration under the dynamic leadership of Shri Ajai Singh, Inspector General of North Bengal Frontier BSF.
