On 23 June 2022, acting on the tip off, the troops of BOP Barabila of 152 Bn BSF deployed on Indo-Bangladesh Border in Uttar dinajpur district of West Bengal apprehended 01 Indian national namely Islam (53 Yrs), S/O-Noor Mohammad, R/O Vill-Barabilla, PS-Goalpohkar, Distt-Uttar Dinajpur (WB). When he had gone ahead of fence on the pertex of farming and in the course of coming back he concealed 70 gm of Cow Bezoar in his rain boots. Apprehended Indian national was handed over to PS Goalpokhar.
On 23 June 2022, alert troops of BOP Balupara of 61 Bn BSF deployed on Indo-Bangladesh Border in Dakshin Dinajpur district of West Bengal apprehended 01 Bangladeshi national namely Antor Kumar (22 Yrs), S/O-Kalipoda Rajbonshi, R/O Vill-Chowkshahabajpur, PS-Kamarkhand, Distt-Shirajganj Bangladesh. while he was illegally trying to cross International Boundary. Apprehended Bangladeshi national was handed over to PS Hili.
In an other events, On 23 June 2022, the troops of BOP Berubari of 21 Bn BSF deployed on Indo-Bangladesh Border in Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal apprehended 01 Bangladeshi national namely Md Rasel (27 Yrs), S/O Mofijul Hoque, R/O Vill-Mondulpara, PS-Tetulia, Distt-Panchagarh (BD). While he was illegally trying to cross International Boundary. Apprehended BD national was handed over to PS Kotwali.
Besides above, from 22 to 24 June 2022 troops of under command Battalions of North Bengal Frontier BSF carried out anti-smuggling drive in their respective border areas in order to thwart any attempt by ANEs to execute their nefarious design of smuggling and seized 59 Cattle, 772 Bottle Phensedyl and other contraband items from different border areas.
The total value of seized items is Rs.9,98,918/-. Above items were seized by BSF troops while smugglers were trying to smuggle these items from India to Bangladesh.
