A case was reported at Cyber Police Station of Siliguri Police Commissionerate on 11/04/22 in which one minor girl had a relationship with one accused from District Uttar Dinajpur.
The complainant received some intimate pictures of his daughter from two mobile numbers in his Whatsapp and his wife also received calls from different mobile numbers demanding money with a threat to make the pictures viral if the demands are not met.
The officers of Cyber Cime P.S. immediately responded and started working on the case with topmost priority.
The clues given by the complainant, the Modus Operandi and complex analysis of technical surveillance led the police team headed by SI Sanjay Ghosh and SI Suraj Chettri to Mangshila, North Sikkim.
There, with the assistance of Sikkim Police, the sleuths of Cyber Crime Police Station SPC zeroed in the miscreants and arrested three of them namely Rajibul Sha, Manjay Alam and Jainul Ali all of Chopra, Uttar Dinajpur and took them into custody.
All the three accused persons are being presented before the Ld Court today under the charges of the relevant sections of the POCSO and Information Technology Act, with a prayer for Police Custody in the interest of investigation.
