Today (19/02/22) afternoon, acting on source information, SOG SPC being assisted by officers and men of the Detective Department SPC conducted raid at Mahanandapara, Near Chandra Park, Ward No 4, Siliguri at the rented premises of the house of Gopal Sarkar and recovered the following quantity of contraband Drugs and Psychotropic substances.
1) 10076 bottles of contraband Cough Syrup.
2) 324000 numbers of N10 Tablets.
3) 2,72,160 numbers of Spacecore Von Plus Capsules
from the joint possession of the following accused persons:
1. Gobindo Kumar Mandal of Vill Pirhauli, P.S. Alinagar District Darbhanga Bihar A/P Mahanandapara, Ward No 4, Siliguri
2. Ranjan Sarkar of Sastrinagar, Ward No41, P.S. Bhaktinagar SPC and
3. Runu Sarkar of Mahanandapara, Near Chandra Park, Ward No 4, Siliguri.
Ranjan Sarkar has a Pharmacy styled as ‘Punam Medical Shop’ situated at Baneswar More, Eastern Bypass under Bhaktinagar PS.
Also, Gobinda Mondal has a pharmacy styled as " Shree Sales" situated at Bidhan Market under Siliguri PS.
Appropriate authority shall be moved to verify and cancel their respective licenses.
The contraband Psychotropic substances have been seized and the three accused persons arrested.
The market value of the seized Psychotropic substances is Rs 5502417/-(Rupees Fifty Five Lakhs Two thousand Four hundred and Seventeen)
A case under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act is being initiated at Siliguri P.S. and investigation is on.
