This is might is right! Bengal's ruling party Trinamool Congress leader disconnected the power supply in her areas by locking the transformer as she was suffering of power crisis in her house.
Kajol Mandal, local Gram Panchayat member in Gopalnagar- GP in district of North 24 Parganas allegedly locks the transformer as a result the entire areas in and around Natungram Subhashini Girls School falls in loadshedding since Tuesday evening. As she suffers of loadshedding, she also decided to let the local people stay into this crisis. And the incident make the local people angry.
The locals then moved to the Gopalnagar police station and registered a written complaint. The police later reached the spot bur failed to resume the power supply till 11 pm yesterday night. And when the police came there the angry people staged protest.
They also demanded the accused GP member's punishment as per the law.
The locals said due to this they had suffered with their children amid rainy season.
One of the complainer says "almost 150 family leave at this area but we all are leaving in dark just because of the members adamant attitude. We have also complaint with the police and requested to resume service and resolve the problem."
He also says that "we are the citizen of India. We want civic facilities, as we pay for that. We don't want this attitude from a public representatives at all. We cannot stand this any more. The government has to protect us."
The incident led a political row. The local BJP leadership criticized this. Manaspati Dev, the President of Bongaon Organizational District, alleges TMC has done this to loot and to conduct terrorism by disconnected the power supply.
While the accused GP member did not say anything to the media men, rather she misbehaved.
Though TMC leader and the party's Chairman of Bongaon District Shankar Dutta
said he/she would be taken steps if found guilty. No one is above the law.
