Due to the intense and continuous rainfall since the night of 18th Oct till the forenoon of 20th Oct, 2021, Kalimpong district had around 46 landslides within this time interval.
Kalimpong received 335 mm of rainfall in this spell. House damage reported is 112 including fully and partially damaged. 116 persons evacuated from vulnerable sites.
Kalimpong Municipality area, NH-10 stretch, the road stretch from Algara to Lava were the most affected by the landslides apart from damages of several rural roads
