Bomb attack in TMC party office

Six people have been injured including two children in a bomb attack in Kamarhati, North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. 


The incident took place in a Trinamool Congress party office in 6 number ward of Kamarhati Municipality on Thursday night while 'Duare Sarkar' project was driven by the state government. It has been known, Kamaluddin Ansari, Chairman-in-Council of the municipality runs the party office. 


The miscreants allegedly hurled bombs at that time and six people including two children were injured dur to this. The injured people were then taken to College of Medicine and Sagorer Dutta Hospital in Kamarhati. 


The incident led tension in the area, which is very close to Kamarhati police outpost. After the incident Belghoria police station reached the spot. 


Sabir Alam Laskar, a local people said "I was filling up the form, suddenly heard huge sound. I then run away inside the party office. The womey also rushed here and there to save their lives. In the meantime one miscreants showed revolver at me, I requested no to fire bullets. He then fired outside. However I then escaped narrowly. We are in fear now. 


Kamaluddin Ansari the Chairman-in-Council of Kamarhati Municipality, who's party office attacked and the incident took place says "I was at my home as the party office is very near to my house. The people assemble there to take facilities from 'Duare Sarkar' program by the government. Few miscreants then came and charged bomb at the office get. Several women, children were injured. The miscreants also fired few rounds bullet. I want the police should take action against the accused. 


After the incident Manoj Verma, the Police Commissioner of Barrackpore Police Commissionerate, rushed the spot with senior police official. Later he says "an incident took place today. Police is looking into this matter. The raid is being going on. Till now 6 people have been injured." "Though no arrest has been so far," added the CP.
