The C37 strain of the corona virus, also known as the 'Lambda variant', is spreading rapidly abroad. About 70% of infections in Peru involve this strain. This form of corona has spread to more than 26 countries in the last one month.
Scientists are concerned about this form of corona. Even the vaccine has no effect on this new form of corona. This form is wreaking havoc in Peru and the number of victims is growing rapidly.
C.36 strain named 'Lambda variant'. The first case was published in Peru in December 2020. Then in the total new cases of corona, the number of infections infected with this form was about 1 percent. According to a report in the Financial Times, Peru now accounts for 80 per cent of the victims, and the corona has spread to more than 28 countries.
