A guideline has been issued regarding the operation of the metro.  Under this, metro stations will remain closed in the Containment Zone, only people without symptoms will travel, Thermal screening will be done.  Simultaneously, it has been said to promote metro cards, smart cards and digital payments.  A plan to increase fresh air in the metro is also being worked on.  According to the SOP issued by the government, it has been made mandatory for people who will have a smartphone to have the Arogya Setu app in their phones.


Mangu Singh of MD of Delhi Metro said that initially only one line will be operational.  Later it will be extended. In the beginning, the metro will be run from 7 to 11 am in the morning and metro service will be made available from 4 to 8 pm in the evening.  It has also been said that not all the gates of the station will open. Entry and exit will be from different gates for social distancing.
