There is speculation about a government order directing oil marketing companies to keep stock of two-month supply of LPG cylinders in the Kashmir Valley.  There is speculation about this order in view of deadlock on the Line of Actual Control (LAC).  On the other hand, National Conference leader Omar Abdullah has questioned the need for such a step.

According to a June 27 order issued by the director of the Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs in Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor GC Murmu passed the guidelines in a meeting on June 23 that 'landslide incidents'  Due to the closure of the national highway, adequate stock of LPG should be ensured.

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah cited another release of the Ganderbal district police to make provision for stay of central forces and said that such orders create panic in Kashmir and we seek clarification from the government  .

The senior superintendent of police of Ganderbal in his release has requested the district administration to make available 16 educational institutions including ITI buildings, middle and higher secondary schools in the central Kashmir district.  The SSP said that these buildings are needed for the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) to stay.  National Conference (NC) leader Tanvir Sadiq sought clarification from the government that the people of Kashmir cannot spend another year in 'fear and restlessness'.
