Ahead of super cyclone ‘Amphan’ internet networks suffer severe outrages in Islands areas of Bengal.  Panchayat area of Bali 2 in Goshaba Block is facing severe connectivity issues since Monday morning.  Broadband services have completely shut down which has impacted the work schedule of the local bodies.

“Internet was running smoothly until yesterday.  All Panchayat work has been put to halt due to complete shut down of internet services,” said Chinmay Mandal , Bali 2 Gram Panchayat clerk.

With Covid-19 and the Super Cyclone, the state is battling severe crisis. Disruption  in the network has slowed down work process to null and void.  Clerk Mandal of Bali 2 Gram Panchayat added, “We are not being able to receive information about the super cyclone. It is being difficult to file and upload data regarding Covid-19. Internet service is extremely mandatory for us when we are working in such remote area.”
