Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has appealed people to follow the lockdown in a very unique way. Ashwin, through a special post on social media, has told all people not to cross the threshold of their homes. Let me tell you that in an IPL match last year, Ravichandran Ashwin gave wind to the Mankanding controversy against Rajasthan Royals by running out at the non-striking end without throwing the ball to Jos Buttler.

Ravichandran Ashwin shared the same video on social media and warned not to cross the line. Let us know that on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced a 21-day lockdown across the country, during which people have been asked not to leave their homes.

Ashwin said to the people tweeting, 'Ha ha ha, someone sent me this and told that it was run out on this day a year ago. There is a lockdown in the country, this is a good way to remind the citizens. Do not exit Stay in, be safe.

What was the Ashwin-Butler mankading dispute?

During an IPL match on 25 March 2019, the then Kings XI Punjab captain Ravichandran Ashwin fueled the Mankanding feud against Rajasthan Royals by bowling out at the non-striking end to Jos Buttler without throwing the ball.

What is Mankading?

If the batsman standing at the other end of the match comes out of the crease before the bowler leaves the ball, then it is called Mankading to run out. Among the Indians, Kapil Dev dismissed South Africa's Peter Kirsten from Mankading during the 1992–93 series. At the same time, in domestic cricket, spinner Murali Karthik dismissed Bengal's Sandipan Das in a similar Ranji Trophy match.
