BJP targeted the left government of the state
Controversy has arisen over printing of Mahatma Gandhi's assassination on the cover of the budget in Kerala.  In Kerala, the opposition party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has targeted the left government of the state.  BJP has termed this move of the left government of Kerala as wrong.

Following the increased controversy over the matter, Kerala Finance Minister Thomas Issac said, "The message of Mahatma Gandhi's assassination on the cover of the budget has been given a message that we remember that Mahatma Gandhi was murdered by Hindu fundamentalists, who  Today, the ruling BJP government at the Center is honoring.

The Finance Minister of Kerala said, 'We will remember the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi and people will never forget it.  This is a completely different time in which we are living.  The central government is creating various tensions.  NRC is the biggest reform for the central government.  However, the most important improvement remains to be done.  This is a divisive step of the central government.

The Finance Minister said, 'Under NRC there is an attempt to raise population on communal lines.  It has to be countered at every level.  Kerala is a state that reinforces the spirit of communal harmony, which enables us to progress in social fields.

He told that a Malayalam artist has made a painting of Mahatma Gandhi's assassination on the cover of the budget.  We are giving a message from this that we will not forget those who killed Mahatma Gandhi.

The Finance Minister said that today is the time when history is being rewritten, today attempts are being made to erase some popular memories.  He said that there is an attempt to implement NRC to divide the population on communal lines, but Kerala will remain united.
