The Chandigarh administration issued a notification on 24 January regarding the order issued by the High Court regarding sticker and designation on trains.  Keeping in mind the High Court order, the administration has issued a notification stating that no one can impose a sticker or designation on a private or government car.

If the car belongs to any government department or administration, then only the state government and Chandigarh administration can write it on the car.  According to the notification, during the duty only the District Magistrate, Additional District Magistrate, Doctor Ambulance and Fire Brigade will be able to sticker on the car.

According to the notification of Chandigarh Administration, no government, private, court, army, press, airport, navy, police or any other designation can be written on any vehicle.  Similarly, any type of designation ie designation like Chairman, Vice Chairman, on any government or private train will no longer be written on the train.  On doing so, whether it is a government car or private, action will be taken against him under orders of the High Court.

Following the High Court's orders, the Chandigarh Traffic Police was awaiting a copy of the order.  However, by late evening on Monday, a copy of this order was uploaded on the High Court website.  Earlier, the traffic policeman was also sensitizing the vehicle drivers by placing stickers bearing the designation on major routes, lights points and intersections.  Apart from this, the police are also noteing the vehicle numbers, mobiles and names of such drivers in a diary.

While giving the order, Justice Rajiv Sharma said that people are getting MLAs, Chairman, Police, Army and Press etc. written on their vehicles.  On some vehicles, the board of the MLA's neighbor, even the former MLA, has been seen.  All this is done to establish their bullying on the road.  Everyone on the road is the same.  In such a situation how can one write their post and department etc. on their vehicle.
