Russian Prime Minister Dimitri Medvedev has resigned along with his entire cabinet.  According to Russia's news agency, President Putin thanked Medvedev, but according to him, the Prime Minister has not been successful in achieving the goals.  On the other hand it is also being said that there is a proposal to change the constitution on behalf of President Putin and hence the current government resigned.
 Medvedev has been made the chairman of the Security Council.  He is the Prime Minister of Russia since 2012 and has been earning close to President Vladimir Putin.  He was the President of Russia from 2008 to 2012.  Putin told Medvedev's cabinet that they should keep working till the new cabinet is formed.

 Please tell that the Prime Minister has resigned after President Putin addressed the country on Wednesday.  During his speech, the President has proposed to amend the Constitution.  It is proposed to expand the strength of the cabinet.

 It is believed that Putin has proposed this to keep himself in power, so that if he becomes the Prime Minister, then power will remain in his hands for a long time.  His presidential term in 2024 is ending.  This is his fourth term.  Putin also said in his speech that future presidential term should be limited to two times.
