A US citizen accused of killing Indian student Abhishek Sudesh Bhat in San Bernardino surrendered to the police, after which he was arrested.  The San Bernardino Police Department reported Sunday that 42-year-old Eric Turner surrendered on Saturday.  He has been arrested for the murder of 25-year-old Sudesh outside a motel where Sudesh worked part-time.

Hailing from Mysuru, Karnataka, Abhishek was doing his MS in computer science at California State University in San Bernardino.  Turner shot and killed Abhishek outside the motel on Thursday afternoon.  The police declared him dead on the spot.  The San Bernardino Police Department said the case was being investigated.  It is not yet known why Turner killed Sudesh.

Sergeant Albert Tello of San Bernardino said in a statement, "The suspect had already been identified and he surrendered to authorities on Saturday.  The motive of the firing is being ascertained.  Turner will be produced in local court on Tuesday.  Meanwhile, Sudesh's family and friends have created a page named 'Go-Fund' for financial help, through which one thousand people have given more than 39 thousand US Dollars till Sunday.
