Australia beat Pakistan by an innings and 48 runs in the second Test match on Monday. With this, he eliminated Pakistan 2–0 in a two-match Test series. Australia declared their first innings by scoring 589 runs for three wickets.

In response, the Pakistan team was all out for 302 runs in their first innings despite the century of Yasir Shah and he was forced to play follow on against the hosts.

Despite playing a follow on, Pakistan were all out for 239 on the fourth day of the match on Monday and lost by an innings and 48 runs. In the second innings for Pakistan, Shaan Masood contributed 68, Asad Shafiq contributed 57 and Mohammad Rizwan contributed 45 runs.

From Australia, Nathan Lyon took five wickets and Josh Hazlewood took three wickets, while Mitchell Starc got one wicket. Australian opener David Warner, who scored an unbeaten 335 runs in the match, received the man of the match and man of the series awards.
