All smartphones have a baseband processor (cellular modem) and an application processor (AP).  The AP is a simple processor, while the baseband processor functions to perform radio-related work for cellular connectivity.  The application processor issues the AT command to connect to the baseband processor.  In many Android smartphones, USB and Bluetooth access are granted this access whenever the smartphone stops sending AT commands to apps and other parts of the device.  Molesters use this facility.  The report said that there are more than 14 such suspected AT commands, through which Android smartphones can be hacked and spy.
