The Indian women's cricket team has taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series by defeating South Africa by 5 wickets in the second match played in Vadodara. India defeated the visiting team by five wickets.

Batting first after losing the toss, South Africa scored 247 runs at the loss of six wickets and the target was achieved by the hosts by losing five wickets in 48 overs.

Opener for South Africa, Laura Volwart scored the highest number of 69 runs. Lizelle Lee and Mignon du Perez also contributed well to the team's score. Lee scored 40 while Perez scored 44. Three bowlers took two wickets from India.
