The meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit, which will be held in Bishkek, capital of Kyrgyzstan, will meet with other Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping.  This is the first meeting between the two leaders of PM Modi's second term.  On the other hand, the Indian Foreign Ministry has clarified that there is no program to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Pakistani PM Imran at the SCO Summit.

The SCO Summit is scheduled to be held in Bishkek on 13-14 June.  SCO is an eight-member economic and security organization led by China.  India and Pakistan were inducted in this group in 2017.  Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lu Kang announced on Sunday that Shi will make state-level visits to Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan from June 12-16.

Following the Wuhan Summit, the two countries forwarded efforts to improve relations in different areas, which include relations between each other's armies.  In December last year, Prime Minister Modi had met other President of the G20 Summit in Argentina and discussed joint efforts to increase mutual trust and friendship between the two neighbors.  Prior to the official announcement of the results of the Lok Sabha election results last month, she gave a good wishes to Prime Minister Modi to win the election.
