Last month, in Google Maps, features like Speed Limits and Mobile Radar Locations were given in more than 40 countries. These include India as well. Now Google has added three new features to Maps to make public transport even better. Through Google Maps, you will now be able to check bus travel time in live traffic. Currently, this feature has been made available in 10 big cities of India - Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune, Lucknow, Chennai, Mysore, Coimbatore and Surat.

Through this feature, Google Maps users will be able to check the live traffic condition so that it will take time for their bus trip. In order to use this feature, users will have to enter only the starting location and destination and then tap on the Transit tab. After this, you will find the bus time of the bus in live traffic. Here you will see time green and in the red when late.

Similarly, Google has also added feature for Train Journey, which shows Real Time Train Running Status. Users will also be able to check whether there is a train late with Google Maps. The company has informed that this feature is included with the partnership of 'Where is My Train' app. Let's say Google last year acquired this app.

The third feature that Google has added is Mixed-Mode Direction Results, which also includes auto-rickshaws. In the Android devices, the public transport tab can be displayed in Google Maps. This feature will tell the users when they should take auto-rickshaws. Also, this feature will also tell you which station or stop would be better to take auto-rickshaw after switching from another transport such as a metro or local train.
