Moitrish Majumdar, Kolkata:

Opposition Congress in Goa alleged Sunday that the ruling BJP is trying to make crores of rupees and posts and its legislators in their own right. However, the saffron party has rejected the charge.

Goa Pradesh Congress Committee chief Girish Chodankar claimed that for the change of the party MLAs, various packages are being offered, including Rs 40 crore and the chairmanship of the state-run corporation. However, BJP reversed the allegation and said that the opposition party is failing to keep its MLAs together and is making false allegations.

At the same time, the Congress leader said that he is still hopeful that his MLAs will not come in any temptation of the BJP. He alleged that the BJP is getting money by making corruption like ATMs and state-run Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation.

BJP said that its party is trying his best to keep all the MLAs united and it is convinced that the legislators will be united by rejecting temptation.

Significantly, BJP's Goa unit chief Vinay Tendulkar had said that four Congress MLAs are ready to change. In view of his statement, Chodankar made this comment. On being contacted, Vinay rejected the charge of Chodankar saying that these allegations are false.
