West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has supported Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who is on a day-long hunger strike in New Delhi on Monday. Naidu is sitting on a dharna in Andhra Pradesh Bhawan in New Delhi to give special status to the state and fulfill all the promises made before it's division in 2014.
A senior Trinamool Congress leader told PTI-language, "Our party chief Mamta Banerjee has supported Chandrababu's fast. He has asked our party leader Derek O'Brien to go to Anshan site and meet Naidu and display solidarity. Opposition is standing together in the fight against the Modi government. "
He told that Brian would arrive at 12 o'clock in the afternoon to meet the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief. TDP was separated from the NDA government in March 2018 on demanding special state status for Andhra Pradesh. It is noteworthy that against the CBI's attempt to question the Kolkata Police Chief in the Chitfund scam case, Naidu supported Trinamool Congress chief Banerjee, who had been holding a demonstration on the Metro channel from February 3 to 5.
The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh also participated in the grand rally held by Mamata Banerjee  at January 19 in Brigade Parade Ground.
