Trinamool Congress said on Wednesday that the party's Lok Sabha member Soumitra R Khan went to the BJP before the Lok Sabha elections, that he had already removed him from the party. While looking at the new developments, the BJP said that the beginning of the collapse of the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal has started.
A senior Trinamool Congress leader said, "He has not been in contact with the party for a long time. He was not working properly in his field. He knew well that he will not be given a ticket for Lok Sabha this time. We decided to expel him from the party this morning. The removal letter has been sent to them. "He said that the Trinamool Congress leadership has asked its parliamentary party to take action against Khan so that he is disqualified as a Trinamool Congress MP.
Khan, representing the Bishnupur constituency of Bankura district in the Lok Sabha, joined the BJP in New Delhi on Wednesday. With this, before the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP's campaign can get strength in West Bengal. Senior leader Mukul Roy, who came to the BJP from Trinamool Congress, told PTI, "This is the beginning. Many leaders are in the queue. Go see. "
Khan was first in Congress and joined Trinamool Congress in 2013 before the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. Even then Mukul Roy played an important role in bringing him into the Trinamool Congress. Roy was then general secretary of the Trinamool Congress. Roy joined the BJP in 2017 Soumitra Rai has been candidly criticizing Trinamool Congress leadership for the last few weeks.
