Fuel prices in the national capital can be less than prices in UP

In the coming days, petrol and diesel in the national capital will be cheaper than Uttar Pradesh. Due to costly crude oil prices in the past, prices of petrol and diesel had increased considerably, after which the central government had requested states to reduce tax on both fuels. In response, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reduced the rate, which made it cheap in UP, while Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal did not take any step in this direction, which is why petrol and diesel in Delhi are expensive.

However, due to the continuous decline in crude oil prices for the past one-and-a-half months, the difference in prices of petrol and diesel in both states decreased by 67 per cent and 42 per cent respectively.

All India Petroleum Dealers Association's Ajay Bansal said that the present trend of the decline in the prices of government oil companies is indicating that in the next six to seven days, the cost of petrol will fall by more Rs 1.10 and diesel price by Rs 1.32.

This is good news for the petrol pumps in the capital, especially for the petrol pumps from the border of the UP, because of the low cost of petrol and diesel in UP, people are giving priority to buying oil from there. After relief by the state government in October, the fuel in UP has become cheaper by three rupees.
