Pakistan gets Chinese backing , promises 'economic package'

Pakistan was facing an economic crisis was once again extended a helping hand from its doting neighbour, China . On Wednesday, the Finance Minister of Pakistan informed about this, although China has clearly refused to say anything on the help given. The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, had recently travelled to China with the intention of seeking an 'economic package'.
Pakistan's Finance Minister Asad Omar has informed about this on Tuesday. He said that China has promised to help the high-level assistance in solving the financial problems of the country through aid package. Asad Umar was part of the delegation that went to China along with Imran Khan.
Umar said, "We had told that Pakistan needed about 12 billion dollars of help, out of which 6 were given Saudi Arabia to us, the rest agreed to give in the form of China loan. I want to make it clear that with this help Pakistan's cash crisis has ended. He added,  " With Imran, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi also went to China. He also said that after the commitment made by China, the issue of Pakistan's balance of payments has been effectively resolved."
