Nana Patekar sends his response to CINTAA on charges of sexual harassment

The Cine and TV Artists Association (CINTAA) has sent a notice to actor Nana Patekar on charges leveled by Tanushree Dutta via the MeToo campaign. Nana Patekar has sent his response to CINTAA on Thursday in this regard. In his response, Patekar said that the allegations against him are baseless and false. He also said that he is in the process of taking legal action against Tanushree.

It is worth noting that Tanushree Dutta's lawyer has demanded Nana Patekar, Ganesh Acharya, Samee Siddiqui and Rakesh Sarang's narco test, brain mapping and lie detector test after registering a new complaint in Oshiwara police station in Mumbai.

On the basis of the statement recorded by Tanushree Datta on the night of 10th October, Oshiwara police has registered a case of tampering and sexual harassment against these four under relevant sections of the IPC. Last week, Tanushree had lodged a complaint against the four in writing, on which basis further action was taken.

Tanushree Dutta alleges that during the shooting of a film in 2008, Nana Patekar touched her inadvertently wrongly. Tanushree says that 'I had clearly told the director and producer of the film that I will not do any such scene in the film and the song in which I will feel uncomfortable.'
