Doors open tomorrow for at Sabrimala : specific age group women dragged out of cars

Temple of Lord Ayyappa is open for the monthly worship in Kerala. However, before that the tension in the Nilakkal, considered to be the main gateway of the Sabarimala temple, is in tension. On Tuesday, devotees stopped the vehicles from the temple for women of 'restricted' age group.
A group of women wearing traditional sarees can be seen stopping each vehicle in Nilak, base camp, about 20 km away from Sabarimala temple located on the hill. These include senior citizens too. Apart from the private vehicles, devotees also stopped the buses of the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation and asked the women to get out of them. When such incidents happened, very few policemen were deployed there.
